4. Basic functions and processes

(1) Functional considerations:

 Lock integration: If used in spaces that need to be locked (such as bedrooms and offices), you can choose glass door handles with built-in lock cylinders, such as lever handles combined with electronic locks. If this design is used for the glass doors of offices in office buildings, employees can unlock them using fingerprints, which is both beautiful and safe.
 Anti-pinching design: In children's rooms or homes with children, you can choose a lever handle with a buffer device, or a knob handle with rounded edges to avoid pinching fingers. For example, the bathroom door of a parent-child family has a silicone cushion installed on the inside of the handle, which makes the door close more gently.
 Barrier-free design: For the elderly or those with limited mobility, lever handles are preferred, and the handle height should be between 3 feet and 3.4 feet (ergonomic) to facilitate grip and force application, which can improve living convenience.

(2) Manufacturing process:

 Cutting technology: The edges of high-quality glass handles should be smooth and free of burrs, and should be processed using CNC cutting machines with very small errors. For example, a high-end glass handle brand uses laser cutting technology to make the right-angled edges of transparent glass handles as smooth as mirrors, refracting light more evenly.
 One-piece molding process: The surface of the die-cast one-piece glass door handle is smooth and flat, with almost no flaws and pores, which improves the aesthetics of the product.

Splicing technology: glass and metal base connection

 Screw fixation (stable but visible screw holes, affecting appearance)
 Shadowless adhesive bonding (beautiful but poor temperature resistance)
 Embedded metal card slot (both stable and beautiful).
 Surface treatment: Frosted glass needs to be sandblasted evenly to avoid areas that are too coarse or too fine. Colored glass can be achieved through high-temperature glaze sintering (the color lasts and does not fade) or film pasting (low cost but easy to wear). The former is recommended for home decoration. For example, the emerald green color of the kitchen glass handle is sintered with glaze, and it remains as new after long-term contact with oil.

Embedded handles are recommended for commercial places, such as the lever handles of glass doors in shopping malls. The glass is embedded in the metal groove and then fixed with screws. The load-bearing capacity can reach more than 110 pounds, ensuring high firmness and long-term use.
